Job Description
PwC established New Ventures to invest in new business models that leverage our knowledge and build solutions for the growing digital market.

New Ventures identifies, develops, and commercializes technology-enabled solutions that deliver PwC value, knowledge, and experience to our clients. Each new solution focuses on data-driven platforms or other IP-based solutions that leverage emerging technologies and new business models. Through the process of building new solutions, we foster a culture of innovation within the Firm, extend brand relevance in the market, and generate new revenue.

The New Ventures Tech Operations team is focused on new builds and capabilities and, as such, leverages industry-standard and innovative technologies.

Most of these products will be cloud-native and are targeted at generating license revenue over services and engagements.

The Cloud Engineer will work with product teams, client technology teams, technology partners and PwC technology teams to deliver high-performing, highly-scalable

cloud-optimized products that provide unique value to clients and consumers, as defined by the target market.

Position/Program Requirements
Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 4


Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences or related field.


Knowledge Preferred:

Demonstrates extensive knowledge and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

- Leading efforts emphasizing the strategy, design, and development of Platform-as-a-Service and Infrastructure-as-a-Service cloud platforms that extend to private and public cloud deployment models;

- Leading client-facing business development and thought leadership, especially in identifying and addressing product and client needs, communicating a broad range of Firm services, managing implementation and ongoing development which includes preparing concise, accurate documents and balancing project economics management with the occurrence of unanticipated issues;

- Utilizing and applying project knowledge of IT strategy, architecture, engineering, operations, policy, processes, standards, organizational design, governance, change management, enabling technology, and product delivery;

- Building large teams and creating a positive work environment by developing new opportunities, delivering successful engagements, monitoring of organizational health, and driving thought leadership; and,

- Leading efforts and leveraging knowledge related to Cloud Management Platforms, Virtualization Strategies, Automation and Orchestration Strategies, Public Cloud Platforms, Cloud Capacity/Performance Optimization, and Application Migrations to a Cloud Platform with a clear understanding of how an IT organization capitalizes upon technology to enable the business.


Skills Preferred:

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success managing projects in the following areas:

- Strategy, Architecture, Operations and Transformation experience around building a scaled products, including the issue of elastic scaling and automated application deployment, as well as architectural design and implementation experience with major cloud management (e.g. BMC, HP, CA, VMare, etc); and,

- Service catalog, virtualization, automation, orchestration (e.g. Chef Puppet), public cloud vendors, (e.g. AWS, Rackspace, etc.), vendor project management, and ITIL/ITSM.
