Job Description
PwC's US Finance organization is a strategic business advisor responsible for managing the firm's financial risk, including: financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with strategic and tactical matters. Services include: budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs, data and analytics, shared services and financing. Finance works daily with US Leadership, engagement partners and managers on managing the profitability of engagements.

Finance has assisted other PwC Network firms regionalize their financial operations. Finance also analyzes potential acquisitions, assisting with the integration (including system needs) and educating partners/managers on how to navigate our various financial systems.

Accounting & Financial Reporting (AF&R) functions include General Ledger Close, Internal Controls Over Financial Reporting, Fixed Assets Accounting and Asset Management, Accounting Research and Analysis, Statutory and Regulatory reporting, and Data Security. Functions include monthly closings, financial analysis, oversight/management of controls and compliance, and GFS data security. The A&FR group also manages the Washington Federal Practice Cost Accounting System and provides tax and cash projections to leadership.

The Public Sector Practice (PSP) is a regulated business unit that complies with Federal contracting regulations. The PSP prepares invoices following specific guidance given by the Federal Government. The PSP Finance Team is responsible for maintaining compliance with all time reporting, expense reporting and invoicing guidance as well as developing a package of invoicing documentation that will stand under audit at the close of an engagement.

Position/Program Requirements
Basic Qualifications: US Citizenship required.

Minimum Years of Experience: 2

Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree or 4 years of experience with Federal Contracts

Knowledge Preferred:
Exposure to one or more of the following areas: auditing of expense reports; determining improvements to existing processes or procedures; contract invoicing in accordance with Federal Billing Regulations; providing support and input to written memorandum reports summarizing close-out issues; monitoring contract close-out status and maintaining a status log of close-outs; financial reporting and analysis; or other invoicing/billing duties; Manages multiple tasks, prioritizing time and communicating potential conflicts to supervisor

Skills Preferred:
Demonstrated MS Office skills particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.
Federal government contracting experience.
