Job Description
Our Core Assurance practice provides independent reporting to stakeholders. We perform:

- Financial statement and internal control audits
- Business and performance reporting
- Social, environmental, and other compliance reviews

MIDA: Market Information & Data Analytics (MIDA) is a centralized group within PwC that supports all industries and market sectors globally.

MIDA is devoted to gathering, analyzing and distributing securities pricing and other relevant market data information.

MIDA also provides Custody to Fund Accounting reconciliation services.
Furthermore MIDA provides analytical tools to support audit procedures for securities valuation and custody reconciliation procedures.

MIDA is a distributor of supplementary data including: corporate actions, credit ratings, trade information, bid information and additional vendor transparency.

The Market Information and Data Analytics group (MIDA) is a centralized group within PwC dedicated to the gathering and distribution of market information that supports all sectors and lines of service. MIDA's team of business analysts and software developers create proprietary applications to meet the needs of these sectors worldwide. The team also provides technology solutions to complex problems involving the analysis, evaluation and testing of client data, and designs and builds software products and services that support excellence and efficiency in task automation. MIDA has offered a broad range of effective and innovative solutions in areas such as Portfolio Valuation, Security Analysis, Custody Reconciliation and Compliance Services since 1986. In use in over 15 countries, these applications are applied over tens of thousands of times annually.

The MIDA Operations and Pricing Services team provides assistance with securities price testing, market data research and other related services. The MIDA Operations and Pricing Services entail an understanding of the market data, securities pricing standard data requirements and various automated processes including: an understanding of client and market data attributes and ability to analyse client data in order to work with proprietary software and research exceptions; and, interacting directly with the PwC audit engagement teams on a daily basis and delivering high quality services.

Position/Program Requirements
Basic Qualifications:

The candidate will demonstrate analytical thinking and individual initiative; cultivate teamwork dynamics through working as a team member: understanding personal and team roles; contributing to a positive working environment by building solid relationships with team members; and proactively seeking guidance, clarification, and feedback; demonstrate flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks and communicating potential conflicts to team leader; identify and address client needs: build solid relationships with engagement teams; develop an awareness of Firm and MIDA services; approach internal clients in an organized and knowledgeable manner; deliver clear requests for information.

Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 2

Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree

Knowledge Preferred:

Demonstrates some knowledge and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

- Financial industry terms and unique attributes pertaining to different asset types;

- Market data providers, industry data points and tools available; and,

- Various MIDA tools and/or functions associated with development of proprietary applications available for engagement teams support.

Skills Preferred:

Demonstrates some abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

- Utilizing Microsoft Office products, specifically

Excel, by preparing and analyzing client data;

- Identifying and addressing client needs;

- Prioritizing assigned tasks and working simultaneously on multiple priorities in order to meet client deadlines; and,

- Interacting effectively in both written and verbal form by building solid relationships with clients and team members, communicating potential, conflicts to a supervisor, and approaching clients in an organized manner.
