Job Description
The Advanced Tax Analytics and Innovation Practice is a national group focusing on emerging technologies, innovation, thought leadership and providing insights to internal and external stakeholders. The practice is also charged with development of external analytics training, research and technology assessments. This is a significant part of PwC's strategy to continue to be recognized as the leading professional services firm.

The Emerging Technology Practice focuses on researching emerging technology, tools and vendors in the marketplace. The purpose is to provide stakeholders with insights into emerging trends and technologies that may have a material impact on the firm, our clients, and the society in the near future. This team will explore market trends, participate in vendor discussions, tool assessments and be an active contributor at conferences, seminars and in research forums.

The goal is to develop research ideas, analyze data from public and internal sources, review technologies, methods and tools, summarize findings, and demonstrate strong writing and presentation skills to internal and external stakeholders on a daily basis. The key aspect of success for the team will be networking within the technology community to develop relations with vendors, research analysts, and peers.

Position/Program Requirements
Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 8
Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree

Certification(s) Required: CPA, Admission to the Bar, oe one of the following;
Enrolled Agent, Professional Certification in Project Management (PMP), Six Sigma Black Belt/Lean Black Belt/Master Black Belt, Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP), SAP Certified Professional, Oracle Certified Professional, PhD
- Computer Science/Information Science or STEM Equivalent, Professional Certification in Project Management (PMP),Six Sigma Black Belt/Lean Black Belt/Master Black Belt, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD), Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA), Certified Software Tester (CSTE), UX Certificate
- Nielson Norman Group, Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) or equivalent institutional Data Science Program, Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).

Degree Preferred: Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related technology and tax technology fields. Significant experience may compensate for this desired requirement.

Knowledge Preferred:

Demonstrates thought leader-level abilities with, and/or a proven record of success directing efforts in the following areas:
- Building, deploying, and commercializing software using data analytics, visualization, block chains, artificial intelligence, data mining, and/or machine learning;
- Taking technology to market;
- Demonstrating passion for emerging technologies such as Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, cognitive interfaces, Internet of Things, and emerging business practices such as the collaborative/sharing economy, social commerce, emerging data-driven and mobile business models;
- Leveraging knowledge of the U.S. market, business practices, and the technology sector; and,
- Demonstrating experience in a professional services or technology firm.

Skills Preferred:

Demonstrates thought leader-level abilities with, and/or a proven record of success directing efforts in the following areas:
- Developing digital projects, release planning, creating roadmaps, and managing and creating backlog/requirements utilizing prioritization planning;
- Creating competitive analyses for potential products to drive appropriate segmentation approaches, to develop preliminary business cases, and to refine them all as emergent information arises;
- Managing multidisciplinary product teams and collaborating with designers, business users, and developers to innovate and drive product development;
- Working with high level UX principles such as user stories, pretotype/prototype development approaches, information architecture, and customer/product research methodologies (e.g., A/B testing and MVT);
- Designing engaging user experiences for desktop, web, or mobile apps; and,
- Combining strategic thinking with tactical execution as well as a passion for project management.
