Job Description
PwC's US Finance organization is a strategic business advisor responsible for managing the firm's financial risk, including: financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with strategic and tactical matters. Services include: budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs, data and analytics related to portfolio performance, shared services and financing. Finance works daily with US Leadership, engagement partners and managers on managing the profitability of engagements and the overall business portfolio. Finance also works closely with the Network on portfolio management and investment decisions and has assisted other PwC Network firms regionalize their financial operations. Finance also analyzes potential acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships and divestitures, assisting with all integration and separation matters likely to arise.

As a part of Finance, procurement is a centralized team responsible for the purchasing of capital, expensed equipment and services for the Firm. This team oversees vendor relationships with suppliers; reviews outsourcing arrangements; leads supplier diversity initiative; and works as a strategic advisor for other service arrangements (e.g., off-shoring, staff augmentation, etc.).

The Business Services Travel Strategy and Sourcing team is responsible for the acquisition of services and capital/expensed equipment and goods. Strategy and Sourcing serves as the relationship manager for both internal clients and suppliers by seeking appropriate solutions for all sourcing needs, creating, reviewing, and negotiating contractual arrangements through thought leadership, subject matter specialization, and strategic advising. The Business Services and Travel team is also responsible for Category and Sub-Category daily operations.

Position/Program Requirements
Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 8


Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or GED


Degree Preferred: Bachelor's degree


Knowledge Preferred:

Demonstrates thought leader-level knowledge with, and/or a proven record of success directing efforts in the following areas:

- Developing category business plans and strategic sourcing for a category portfolio;
- Leading sourcing teams to source sub-category purchases in ways that consistently produce significant, measurable savings coupled with high quality, value added benefits and enhanced customer support;
- Leveraging Business Services and Travel (BS&T) category, including sourcing and operations, preferred Visionary thinker with ability to develop and implement overall category strategy;
- Developing and managing execution of annual department strategic plan in keeping with Operations and overall Internal Firm Services strategic plan;
- Managing departmental budgets;
- Identifying opportunities for cost savings and process efficiencies and establishing the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives;
- Monitoring service delivery obligations of the BS&T suppliers and identifies ways to enhance the value delivered through these relationships;
- Developing, implementing and executing procurement activities for one billion dollars in goods and services within an assigned expense category area;
- Identifying opportunities, and working closely with appropriate cross functional teams to implement or change travel and meeting policies to improve customer satisfaction or achieve savings; and,
- Understanding external and internal travel and meeting and event trends.

- Innovating and driving change on a continuous basis;
- Scanning the industry for industry leading practices in meetings and travel management and evaluates these for application within PwC;
- Forecasting meetings and events demand based on leadership strategies;
- Collaborating with multiple teams within the firm to establish seamless delivery of meetings and events and travel programs;
- Developing sourcing, service and process Key Performance Indicators or metrics;
- Driving sourcing projects while enabling compliance with arm's length, transparent, and fair bidding processes;
- Supervising the writing and conducting of complex bidding in related commodity areas on a global, cluster, and/or local basis;
- Building and maintaining supplier and customer relationships and confirms contract execution and integration of new suppliers in accordance with firm guidelines;
- Conducting and managing spend analysis, market intelligence, benchmarking and performance analysis for global, cluster and local sourced contracts;
- Collaborating with the US Strategy and Sourcing Director and global category specialists in the implementation and execution of the Sub-Category Strategies for their specified spend area;
- Developing appropriate Procurement sourcing tools and mechanisms (i.e.. bidding activities and issues according to firm guidelines);
- Applying negotiation and persuasion skills at various levels internally and in the supplier community;
- Utilizing advanced commodity-specific knowledge to support the implementation of a supplier performance management program;
- Delivering industry leading practice methods and measures to confirm that the optimum balance of cost and quality is achieved in all contracts;
- Confirming savings are coupled with high quality service delivery and enhanced customer access;
- Executing and supporting implementation of strategies for Procurement categories and related Sub-Categories establishing alignment with Firm strategy and key imperatives; and,
- Coaching and leading Procurement staff to effectively contribute to the achievement of team, departmental, and Firm objectives.
