Job Description
PwC's US Finance organization is a strategic business advisor responsible for managing the firm's financial risk, including: financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with strategic and tactical matters. Services include: budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs, data and analytics related to portfolio performance, shared services and financing. Finance works daily with US Leadership, engagement partners and managers on managing the profitability of engagements and the overall business portfolio. Finance also works closely with the Network on portfolio management and investment decisions and has assisted other PwC Network firms regionalize their financial operations. Finance also analyzes potential acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships and divestitures, assisting with all integration and separation matters likely to arise.

The Domestic and International Accounting Operations team oversees the functions and processes related to financial operations of the US Firm and it's Foreign subsidiaries.

The Domestic Tax Accounting Department is responsible for the Tax and Cash ledger accounting and reporting, Cash Income projections and Taxable Net Income projections. This team provides financial data and analysis to the Partnership Tax department and partners with senior leadership in developing and implementing tax planning strategies.

Position/Program Requirements
Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 2


Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma


Degree Preferred: Bachelor's degree


Certification(s) Preferred: CPA


Knowledge Preferred:

Demonstrates thorough knowledge and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

- Monthly and/or Year-end closing processes;

- Detailed net income planning/projection analyses, research and/or prepare entries for accounting transactions; and,

- Financial reporting in the areas of project maintenance, cost management and operational analysis.


Skills Preferred:

Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas::

- Building and maintaining relationships with business partners, finance leaders and stakeholders;

- Providing analytical and technical assistance to staff;

- Developing changes and/or additions to existing reporting packages;



- Preparing and distributing standard and/or ad hoc financial reports;

- Providing management with assistance in regards to technical and/or analytical matters and accounting functions;

- Providing effective data reporting across departments;

- Establishing process enhancements, flows and procedures for service areas and making sure they are documented and kept current;



- Helping maintain the quality of the work product and staff within the team by making necessary modifications to help establish that staff are kept up-to-date with changes to policies and procedures; and,



- Mitigating risk by monitoring and following-up on outstanding issues.
