Job Description
The Innovation practice is a national group comprised of a variety of teams that focus on implementing solutions internally and externally that will impact the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our clients' tax functions. Process improvement, transformation, system implementation, effective use of technology and data & analytics, and leveraging alternative delivery solutions are key areas of focus to drive additional value to our clients. PricewaterhouseCoopers is nationally recognized for its in-depth tax technical knowledge and tax process improvement skill sets. The Tax Reporting and Strategy (TR&S) practice is dedicated to helping companies assess the complexities of delivering value and managing risk in their tax functions through the improvement of people, process, data and technology. Team members serve as business advisors to clients by leveraging a standard methodology to deliver sustainable tax performance improvement and tax accounting services. Our Tax Reporting and Strategy team features multi-disciplined staff including: accountants, attorneys, economists and technologists from a variety of backgrounds, including corporate tax professionals, tax professionals from law firms, technology professionals and tax advisors from the Firm's practice offices.

Our diverse skillsets combined with our established methodologies provide a unique perspective as we assist clients in transforming their tax processes from analysis to implementation.

Team members get exposure to a variety of areas including tax department operational performance improvement, SharePoint and document management, tax technology strategy, tax data management and analytics, tax accounting and vendor implementation, and strategy related to people and organizational structure.

Tax Reporting and Strategy (TR&S) professionals work across the tax disciplines and help companies assess, plan and achieve enhanced operating levels within the tax organization by focusing on key, defined enablers around people, process, data and technology. The Deals group within TR&S is comprised of subject matter specialists in the area of mergers and acquisitions with a focus on the people, process, data and technology side of the transaction . The group advises multinational corporations, privately held companies, and partnerships on the planning, structuring, and execution of transactions of all sizes.

Position/Program Requirements
Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 8


Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree in a technology or business field of study


Certification(s) Required: At least one of the following: CPA, EA, Admission to the Bar, Professional Certification in Project Management (PMP), Six Sigma Black Belt/Lean Black Belt/Master Black Belt, Certified Business Intelligence Professsional (CBIP), SAP Certified Professional, Oracle Certified Professional


Knowledge Preferred:
Demonstrates proven intimate knowledge of, and/or success in managerial roles involving, consulting with clients in full lifecycle of project phases including strategy, requirements through implementation, including the following areas:
- eLeading ERP engagements
defining ERP tax integration needs, configuring document management and automated workflow platforms, and assessing tax point solution software;
- Leading clients to define operational efficiencies and mitigating risk within their tax functions;
- Leveraging extensive knowledge of Transfer Pricing and Tax Depreciation/Fixed Assets;
- Understanding tax-related data analytics, including a proven track record of supporting tax strategy in tax functions of provisions and compliance;
- Leading a virtual team and collaborate across various geographies; and,
- Driving pipeline and sales opportunities.


Skills Preferred:
Demonstrates proven thought-leader level abilities and success with implementing ERP Systems (such as SAP and Oracle) and tax-related applications, such as OneSource and Corptax, including:
- Collaboration with corporate tax departments and tax data in data management projects, including leveraging MS Project, MS Visio, PowerPoint, and Excel to create project deliverables;
- Tax provision and compliance processes;
- Indirect tax application space (e.g. Vertex, Sabrix); and,
- Thought leadership development in the Tax ERP integration space. Demonstrates proven intimate ability to identify and address client needs: developing and sustaining deep client relationships using networking, negotiation and persuasion skills to identify and sell potential new service opportunities; preparing and presenting complex written and verbal materials; and defining resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collection. Demonstrates proven intimate ability and/or direct experience as a team leader: leading teams to generate a vision, establish direction and motivate members, create an atmosphere of trust, leverage diverse views, coach staff, and encourage improvement and innovation. Demonstrates proven extensive ability to utilize effectively written and verbal business communication skills within a professional business services environment, including interacting with clients and firm staff and/or management.Interact cross-vertical to drive collaboration and integration of other solutions.
