The Innovation practice is a national group comprised of a variety of teams that focus on implementing solutions internally and externally that will impact the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our clients' tax functions. Process improvement, transformation, system implementation, effective use of technology and data & analytics, and leveraging alternative delivery solutions are key areas of focus to drive additional value to our clients. PricewaterhouseCoopers is nationally recognized for its in-depth tax technical knowledge and tax process improvement skill sets. The Tax Reporting and Strategy (TR&S) practice is dedicated to helping companies assess the complexities of delivering value and managing risk in their tax functions through the improvement of people, process, data and technology. Team members serve as business advisors to clients by leveraging a standard methodology to deliver sustainable tax performance improvement and tax accounting services. Our Tax Reporting and Strategy team features multi-disciplined staff including: accountants, attorneys, economists and technologists from a variety of backgrounds, including corporate tax professionals, tax professionals from law firms, technology professionals and tax advisors from the Firm's practice offices.

Tax Reporting & Strategy (TR&S) professionals work across the tax disciplines and help companies assess, plan and achieve enhanced operating levels within the tax organization by focusing on key, defined enablers around people, process, data and technology.

Our Tax Strategy & Operations (TSO) Specialty group functions as a trusted business advisor to our corporate and partnership clients by utilizing tax functional assessments such as process studies, roles and responsibilities reviews, and benchmarking in order to development of a multi-year tax technology strategy and architecture

for our clients.
- Ensure the tax department is included in a significant upgrade that would provide the opportunity to address tax function needs
- Analyze whether an efficient tax technology infrastructure in place
- Identify opportunities for tax to realize more value from the significant enterprise investment in financial reporting systems
- Integrate tax technology tools to reduce redundant data manipulation
- Assess tax point solution software requirements
- Custom configure document management and automated work flow platforms

Position/Program Requirements
Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 3


Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree in a business related field


Certification(s) Preferred: At least one of the following: CPA, EA, Admission to the Bar, Professional Certification in Project Management (PMP), Six Sigma Black Belt/Lean Black Belt/Master Black Belt, Certified Business Intelligence Professsional (CBIP), SAP Certified Professional, Oracle Certified Professional


Knowledge Preferred:
Demonstrates thorough knowledge of general tax principles and legislation, including of the application of ASC 740 (FAS 109), tax compliance standards, provision and/or compliance software, and how these relate to the preparation and/or review of multinational corporation tax provisions and/or tax reports. Demonstrates thorough knowledge and/or proven success providing management consulting services to multinational clients with large corporate tax functions, including the following areas: -Risk management analysis. -Controls remediation (e.g., application of SOX 404 reporting requirements). -Organization and/or structure re-design. -Technology review and/or implementation. -Process improvement and issue remediation).


Skills Preferred:
Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success with leading and directing efforts that involve project management, change management, process improvement, verbal communication and business writing skills in the areas that include, but are not limited to, the following: -monitoring and analyzing legislative and regulatory tax developments. -assisting clients in developing strategies in anticipation of tax law changes and regulatory developments. -analyzing the economic impact of tax legislation and federal budget proposals. -addressing technology needs to support tax function effectiveness. Demonstrates thorough abilities as a team leader who creates an atmosphere of trust and encourages continuous improvement and innovation, as well as through aptitude to coach staff and provide constructive written and verbal feedback. Demonstrates willingness and thorough abilities to build, maintain and utilize personal and professional networks to develop client relationships. Demonstrates thorough tax technical skills, aptitude to remain current on legislative and regulatory tax developments, and the ability to apply tax law changes and develop collaboratively strategies that support clients' risk management policies. Demonstrates thorough abilities to communicate with clarity and success value propositions, manage resource requirements, participate on client engagement teams, and develop and manage engagement budgets, including all related billing and/or collections.
