Job Description
PwC's US Finance organization is a strategic business advisor responsible for managing the firm's financial risk, including: financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with strategic and tactical matters. Services include: budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs, data and analytics related to portfolio performance, shared services and financing. Finance works daily with US Leadership, engagement partners and managers on managing the profitability of engagements and the overall business portfolio. Finance also works closely with the Network on portfolio management and investment decisions and has assisted other PwC Network firms regionalize their financial operations. Finance also analyzes potential acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships and divestitures, assisting with all integration and separation matters likely to arise.

The Reporting and Compliance team includes Budgeting and Management Reporting, External Reporting, Compliance and Controls, and Reporting Services.

The Financial Controls and Compliance team is responsible for developing/managing sustainable controls (including manual and automated controls, Information Technology General Controls (ITGC) and entity level controls); evaluating all financial systems security access requests; creating/managing US Finance policies; and coordinating work with the internal audit function for all Finance related audits.

Position/Program Requirements
Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 2


Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree or 3 years of public accounting, finance or audit experience.


Knowledge Preferred:

Demonstrates thorough knowledge and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

- Financial and operational internal control methodologies and terminologies process and control industry standards; and,

- Sarbanes-Oxley regulations and requirements.


Skills Preferred:

Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

- Document the firm's Sarbanes-Oxley 404 process controls;

- Support the Controls Manager and team in the coordination of independent testing activities along with any resulting remediation necessary from ineffective controls; and,

- Collaborate with other departments to resolve data discrepancies and issues and review process efficiencies and make recommendations for process improvement.
