Job Description
PwC's US Finance organization is a strategic business advisor responsible for managing the firm's financial risk, including: financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with strategic and tactical matters. Services include: budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs, data and analytics related to portfolio performance, shared services and financing. Finance works daily with US Leadership, engagement partners and managers on managing the profitability of engagements and the overall business portfolio. Finance also works closely with the Network on portfolio management and investment decisions and has assisted other PwC Network firms regionalize their financial operations. Finance also analyzes potential acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships and divestitures, assisting with all integration and separation matters likely to arise.

Controller Operations is comprised of a group of talented finance professionals who provide service to our internal clients in the following areas:

Budgeting, Reporting, Regulatory and Statutory Compliance, Business Operations, Domestic and International Accounting Operations, and Finance Strategy and Business Operations.

The Strategic Information Services team develops data-enriched solutions to provide relevant business information to decision makers in a streamlined manner, while continuously adapting to new tools.

Position/Program Requirements
Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 4

Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree

Knowledge Preferred:

Demonstrates extensive knowledge and/or a proven record of success in the following areas of application development:

- C#, ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, .NET Framework 3.5 and later using Visual Studio 2013 [or later];
- SQL Server or other comparable databases such as MySQL, Oracle and PostgreSQL;
- MVC, MVP, Singleton and factory;
- AngularJS, AJAX, HTML5, CSS3, XML, JSON, JQuery and JavaScript;
- WCF, LINQ and the Entity Framework;
- Building Application Integrations using REST and SOAP web services is a plus;
- Unit testing tools such as nUnit or MOQ;
- Source control using one of Git, Subversion or TFS;
- NoSQL Databases including MongoDB, Casandra, DocumentDB and related databases;
- Reporting including SSRS or any other BI such as Tableau, or MicroStrategy;
- Cloud-based platforms and services such as Google Cloud Platform, MS Azure or AWS;
- ETL tools such as SSIS or Informatica;
- Content Management using Sharepoint 2013 and above;
- Continuous integration/continuous deployment such as Git, Jenkins, TFS, Puppet, Chef, Maven, Gradle and Ant;
- NodeJS;
- Containers including Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift; and,
- Microservices.

Skills Preferred:

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas of application development:

- Working within established Software Development Lifecycles and methodologies including agile, scrum, iterative and waterfall to support the success of the larger IT organization;
- Learning rapidly and continuously by taking advantage of new technologies, concepts and business models;
- Demonstrating a history of staying current in emerging technology trends;
- Displaying initiative and an ability to develop applications in a self-directed and self-disciplined manner;
- Researching and evaluating emerging technologies and novel approaches in order to make recommendations to enhance business processes and create competitive advantage to PwC;
- Working collaboratively with other developers, including participating in code reviews;
- Communicating effectively both verbally and written with project team members;
- Thinking analytically with the ability to identify, debug, and resolve technical issues;
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in resolving complex technical issues such as providing design guidance that follow the enterprise architecture vision and adheres to applicable application technology guidelines;
- Understanding and mitigating the impact of technical design to security, performance and data privacy; and,
- Demonstrating significant contributions within a small team of developers to deliver solutions within an Agile methodology, whilst establishing quality, timeliness and team-wide adherence to architectural practice and guidelines.
