Job Description
PwC's US Finance organization is a strategic business advisor responsible for managing the firm's financial risk, including: financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with strategic and tactical matters. Services include: budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs, data and analytics related to portfolio performance, shared services and financing. Finance works daily with US Leadership, engagement partners and managers on managing the profitability of engagements and the overall business portfolio. Finance also works closely with the Network on portfolio management and investment decisions and has assisted other PwC Network firms regionalize their financial operations. Finance also analyzes potential acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships and divestitures, assisting with all integration and separation matters likely to arise.

Controller Operations is comprised of a group of talented finance professionals who provide service to our internal clients in the following areas:

Budgeting, Reporting, Regulatory and Statutory Compliance, Business Operations, Domestic and International Accounting Operations, and Finance Strategy and Business Operations.

Position/Program Requirements
Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 8 years of experience in a finance/accounting leadership role.


Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree


Degree Preferred: MBA Accounting or Finance


Certification(s) Preferred: CPA Knowledge Preferred:

Proven thought leader level of knowledge and success in roles involving financial and operational leadership, preferably for a global consulting firm, emphasizing the following areas:

-

Extensive knowledge of the firm’s operations, financial systems, policies and procedures;
-

In-depth knowledge of the firm’s business; and
-

Extensive knowledge of statutory, compliance and regulatory reporting.


Skills Preferred:

Demonstrates intimate abilities and success with developing policies and driving national initiatives, preferably for a global consulting firm, emphasizing the following areas:



-

Lead the Controller Operations organization to oversee budgets/forecasts, and monitor and manage financial metrics of the firm;
-

Interact with senior firm leadership on finance matters;
-

Demonstrate fiduciary responsibilities for a significant part of the firm’s business;
-

Influences others through leadership and interactions across functional areas;
-

Develop a consistent approach to Finance/operations and implementation of Finance programs and initiatives;
-

Consult with all internal firm service areas such as Partnership Tax, Risk Management, Privacy Office, Security, and Office of General Counsel;
-

Provide operational leadership working with LoS CFO’s, Controller’s and other firm leaders, and
-

Coach and develop Finance Directors and Managers’ to facilitate succession planning.
