Job Description
PwC's US Finance organization is a strategic business advisor responsible for managing the firm's financial risk, including: financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with strategic and tactical matters. Services include: budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs, data and analytics related to portfolio performance, shared services and financing. Finance works daily with US Leadership, engagement partners and managers on managing the profitability of engagements and the overall business portfolio. Finance also works closely with the Network on portfolio management and investment decisions and has assisted other PwC Network firms regionalize their financial operations. Finance also analyzes potential acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships and divestitures, assisting with all integration and separation matters likely to arise.

The Domestic and International Accounting Operations team oversees the functions and processes related to financial operations of the US Firm and it's Foreign subsidiaries.

The Cash Accounting Team is responsible for the Tax and Cash ledger accounting and reporting, Cash Income projections and Taxable Net Income projections. This team provides financial data and analysis to the Partnership Tax department and partners with senior leadership in developing and implementing tax planning strategies.

Demonstrates extensive knowledge of and/or proven record of success in roles utilizing and leveraging GAAP accounting methodologies, preferably within a global network of professional services firms, including in the following areas:

- Conversion of GAAP accounting methodologies to disseminate the cash/taxable income impacts of those transactions;

- Cash-basis modeling of income; and,

- Leading day-to-day operations of an accounting group focused on cash perspectives.


Skills Preferred:

Demonstrates extensive level of abilities and/or proven record of success, preferably within a global network of professional services firms, in the preparation and analysis of tax and cash trial balances by subsidiary for global partnership taxes, including in the following areas:

- Developing, managing and reviewing analyses of financial results;

- Implementing policies and controls around the review of cash and tax ledgers;

- Conducting quarterly analyses and reviews of the cash balance sheets and teaming with the Partnership Tax team to identify book tax differences;

- Leading, collaborating, and consulting with senior leaders and the Partnership Tax team on multi-year prospective projections of the firm's taxable net income, as well as the developing and implementing strategies to meet agreed-upon objectives;

- Leading and actively participating in special projects, coordinating staff participation and aligning skill sets with overall project objectives; and,

- Coaching, training and leading members of the Finance organization in a wide variety of areas that include, teaming, interpersonal skills, relationship building, leadership skills, strategy, and business acumen.
