The Public Sector practice of PwC is a fast growing, focused organization that is a trusted advisor providing business advisory and assurance services to the Federal Government. We are engaged in some of the Government’s most difficult challenges.
We are at work with every cabinet agency providing project management, business and financial planning for the Department of Defense, advising on data security, threat and vulnerability management for the Department of Homeland Security, and consulting on human capital and succession issues for the Internal Revenue Service.
PwC delivers premier management consulting services to the Federal Government using what we term the Auditors’ Lens™ to enable government agencies, their key programs and their leadership to achieve transparency, accountability and operational effectiveness.

Advisory specialists from all over the world routinely come together to assist clients in creating/acquiring new products or businesses, integrating business operations, enhancing performance, improving management and control, addressing crises and threats, restructuring business operations and disposing/decommissioning businesses or subsidiaries.
Change Management and Learning solutions encompass three primary areas:
-Change Management - Assess change readiness among stakeholder groups and identify potential barriers/risks, develop and plan implementation activities and design and deliver communications to obtain awareness, understanding, buy-in and support for business change
-Training - Conduct training needs assessments, design competency-based training curriculums, assess training organization effectiveness and design learning strategies, including the integration and use of e-Learning as well as the design of post training performance that supports learning strategies
-Organization design - Evaluate effectiveness of client’s existing organization structure, align client’s organization structure with business strategy and objectives, manage performance by linking individual performance to business outcomes and perform succession planning
Knowledge Preferred:
Working knowledge advising federal organizations on improving workplace performance. Working knowledge in Human Capital Strategy and Management, Change Management and Learning and Development.
Working knowledge in at least two of the following areas: communications, training and development, organizational design, cultural assessments, performance management, stakeholder management.
Skills Preferred:
Working experience and the ability to identify, obtain and process critical data (e.g. benchmarks) to challenge the status quo through innovative thought leadership in the application of standard industry practice solutions for high performing functions and to support the business vision of the client and the team's success.
Working experience identifying and addressing client needs: building solid relationships with clients; developing an awareness of Firm services; communicating with the client in an organized and knowledgeable manner; delivering clear requests for information; demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks; and communicating potential conflicts to a supervisor.
Working experience as a team member: understanding personal and team roles; contributing to a positive working environment by building solid relationships with team members; proactively seeking guidance, clarification and feedback; providing guidance, clarification and feedback to less-experienced staff.

Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree required. Preferred concentration: Organizational Development, Human Resources Development, or Business Administration. Graduate level degree preferred.
