The Financial Services Advisory practice is a large, growing team that provides business advice and related assistance to major financial institutions around the world. We are helping nearly every leading bank, insurance company, investment manager; investment bank, broker dealer and hedge fund translate strategy into action and address the challenges of cost-effectively leading and providing day-to-day oversight of finance, tax, human resources, operations, technology, regulatory risk and compliance.

As a team member of our Consulting practice, you will provide advisory services focused on implementing process improvement solutions that strengthen accountability, and promote effective financial processes and procedures at Fortune 500 organizations. Financial Management team members identify, assess, analyze and mitigate some of the most significant financial issues these organizations. Project work may include involvement with financial process improvement, financial alignment with organizational goals, and enterprise-wide finance transformation. .

As a member of the PricewaterhouseCoopers Advisory team, you will join professionals with unparalleled financial and accounting expertise, knowledge of business processes, industry insight and technology, and customer relationship skills. Through our capabilities in these areas, we assist our clients in translating strategy into action.

As part of the Advisory practice, Finance Effectiveness practitioners leverage capabilities to solve critical market issues impacting CFOs today. The Finance Effectiveness mission is to advise CFOs and assist their organizations to gain timely, cost effective access to accurate financial and operational information transforming the internal finance function from a purely transactional role to a more strategic and critical performance management role. The current focus is to help CFOs reduce complexity by:
- Standardization and simplification of our clients finance processes
- Improving Internal and External reporting
- Optimizing People and Organization structures
- Strengthening Performance Management, Budgeting and Forecasting Capabilities
- Optimizing Cash Flow and the Use of Capital
- Building and Maintaining Cost Effective Controls


Knowledge Preferred:

Thorough knowledge advising global organizations on improving efficiency and effectiveness in transaction processing, close/consolidation, budgeting/forecasting, and internal/external reporting.

Thorough knowledge in at least two of the following focus areas: shared service and outsourcing, finance transformation, performance management, financial systems optimization, and talent management.

Thorough functional knowledge of business intelligence and performance management software tools.

Skills Preferred:

Demonstrated intimate levels of knowledge and/or direct experience identifying, obtaining and processing critical data (e.g. benchmarks) to challenge the status quo through innovative thought leadership in the application of standard industry practice solutions for high performing finance functions, including the following: internal and external reporting; people and organization structures; performance management, budgeting and forecasting capabilities; cash flow optimization and the use of capital; and, building and maintaining cost-effective controls
Demonstrated extensive ability to contribute to the development of a business vision and manage implementation efforts with complex project management capabilities.
Demonstrated extensive ability and/or direct experience identifying and addressing client needs: building, maintaining, and utilizing networks of client relationships and community involvement; communicating value propositions; managing resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collections; and preparing and/or coordinating complex written and verbal materials.
Considerable experience as a team leader: supervising teams to create an atmosphere of trust; seeking diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation; and coaching staff including providing timely meaningful written and verbal feedback.

Minimum Years of Experience Necessary:

Minimum Degree(s) and Certification(s) Required:

Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting or Finance required. Masters of Business Administration preferred.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
